             Peggy ventured to New York State's Finger Lakes region, home of this website's editor, during the Columbus Day weekend, her visit timed to take full advantage of the fall colors which had just peaked in this area.  Your editor conspired in advance with Peggy's devoted fan, Anne Scrivner of Rochester, Illinois, to arrange a meeting with Peggy during her visit here.  Without so much as a hint to Peggy in advance, Anne joined us for lunch shortly after Peggy's arrival at the airport in Ithaca, then stayed a couple days at the same lakeside motel Peggy had booked for the weekend.  You can follow the progress of Peggy's weekend with us in the series of pictures below.
