husband Sam Rudofker well before making her own debut officially launching

- Peggy chats with Riccardo Muti, then newly named conductor of the renowned
Philadelphia Orchestra, while Signora Muti looks on approvingly.
The Rudofkers were also good friends with the orchestra's long-time previous
conductor Eugene Ormandy and his family. |

- In January, Peggy appeared as guest, along with Mercer Ellington and
the Duke Ellington Orchestra, at a Philly Pops concert under the direction
of Peter Nero. |

- After devoting two decades to raising her family, Peggy officially launched
her second career performing before the public with an engagement at Michael's
Pub in New York City. In anticipation of stepping on stage once again,
Peggy posed for a series of publicity pictures which prove that the singer,
now fifty-three, still retained the beauty and glamour so obviously a part
of her earlier career during the 1950's. |
